First Congregational Church, Middleborough

Daniel Webster once called the First Congregational Church of Middleboro, also Known as the Church of the Green, "the most beautiful church in New England." The Present meetinghouse was built in 1828. Beautiful old front doors were warped and let in the cold air. Ceilings were peeling and in poor shape. Beautiful old windows were drafty and in poor condition. Exterior paint was in disrepair.

Central Congregational Church, Middleborough

The Central Congregational Church of Middleboro, built in 1848, was always a historical Greek revival landmark on South Main Street. The church was almost destroyed by a 4-alarm fire on an early Memorial Day morning in 2009. The fire began with an electrical problem that rapidly traveled up the wall to the roof. The church suffered more than one million dollars in damages. The congregation was also devastated by the loss of the church’s two-story antique organ. The planning for the restored structure began soon after the flames were extinguished.

South Weymouth Church of the Nazarene

When we were hired the project was extremely over budget. Our job was to value engineer the project to bring it into budget. We also wanted to keep as much of the original architectural design as possible. The result was a beautiful functional facility. The roof trusses were hand made on site and erected into position. This created a very unique interior look that is warm and inviting.

Dennis Church of the Nazarene

We were engaged to value engineer an architectural plan and an over budget cost estimate into an achievable plan and budget. Alpha Construction was able to achieve both. Working with the pastor, church members and a great construction team, we accomplished our goals. The result was a beautiful facility with remodeled sanctuary, additional bath rooms, large foyer, offices and class rooms.
